Medical Ambassador of Heviz in the team
The Local Government in cooperation with the Tourism Marketing Association of Heviz inaugurated the first Medical Ambassadors of the town. The ambassador program is designed to draw attention of doctors all around Hungary to Heviz and its traditional medicine as well as to introduce Heviz therapies and their significance to foreign doctors. One of the unconcealed aim of the ambassador program is to start a serious discussion about the potential of the Heviz thermal therapeutics between foreign and local medical specialists.
For the inauguration ceremony the town has invited doctors and professionals from the fields of balneotherapy, rheumatology and internal medicine, all the specifics that helped Heviz to get its reputation. Gabor Papp, the Mayor of Heviz solemnly appointed all those present Medical Ambassadors of Heviz, among them the head of Therapeutical Department of Hotel Kolping, on the first meeting, 27th Januray 2011. The Medical Ambassadors will also help the potential exploitation of thermal health tourism of the town in form of NGO (non-governmental organization) in the near future, as well as work on the reputation of Heviz.
